In this week's update announced animals from the second half year have been added. There will probably be some more, but this is what's currently seen in good quality photos. A few images will need to be upgraded as better views some online later in the year.
First up there is the new Animals and Friends theme with two new molds, a chameleon and a baby otter.
Also in that theme is a recolored baby hippo.
Lots of other animals in the theme but they all look like they are repeats of existing ones. The theme doesn't have anything on the box images seen so far indicating they are using recycled or bio content plastics.
Another theme with just a few new animal variants is the Beach theme. It has recolors of the Newfoundland dog, a puppy, and a jellyfish.
There is a mermaid themed Promo Pack 71861 that has recolors of dolphin and baby and jellyfish
There is a new fairy based theme with new versions of the unicorn. This time they have used the molds from the Firehorse, and have added another body, and mane and tail variants to increase the number of versions through mixing the molds together.
The most recent baby unicorn returns as well, and a new color variant on the large rabbits
A Junior set with a few African animals 71655 finally appears, and it has a new variant on the 123 chimpanzee.
Junior also gets four new molds this season in the Aqua subtheme. There are two small regular sets that inlude the jellyfish and new molds for a seahorse and a crab
There will also be a Tinti co-op Advent calendar with a lot of new animals. The seahorse and crab are there as are new molds for a ray and a flounder. The starfish and the new parrot from the Disney Peter Pan set also return in new colors.
Sadly that will likely be available in limited locations due to the inclusion of Tinti products.
There is one other Advent calendar planned, the only set for the Horses of Waterfall theme this year. It includes one new pony variant
Finally the new Super Heroes theme has a giant lizard - Liz-zilla?? - pretty clearly a knockoff of Godzilla while trying to stay out of trouble with trademarks and copyright.
A big year for animals, but not nearly as extensive as last year with all the new plastic variations of previously existing molds coming on market.
Coming soon will be some German exclusive animals thanks to the help of Zookeeper, as well as catching up on a couple of variants that were pointed out to me and are long overdue to be added.
