This is another strong series, with a nice mix of old standards in new variation plus some new ideas.

There is one obvious couple, the Bavarians, very Oktoberfest themed

The print on the Pumpkin Head costume guy is new, seen here compared to the Pumpkin Head from the Scooby Doo series

Most are variations of themes seen before. The Muay Thai fighter is a new entry in the martial arts sub-theme that they have been using in Figures for a while.

The sound boom operator in the Girls is also unique. Anyone else remember TVI studio sets?  A movie or TV theme is always a great way to mix different themes together in one location.

The brewery guy is a nice variant on the chef/restaurant/store worker sub-theme

The merman has nicely done printing and a good color scheme

The color scheme of the rescue medic is also really nicely done

The Ice Fairy is a great variant on the fairies theme

The Dessert Lady is a great addition to the Candy World sub-theme started with Everdreamerz

The dress on the Geisha looks Korean to me, but with the geta shoes and face paint I guess she is Japanese

Am I the only one, who since the Star Trek theme, can't help but see the cheerleader as a Tribble Wrangler? They used the same molds for Tribbles that were used for the pom-poms.

I think it's a fun series and I will look out for a few to get duplicates of. Series 29 is out in Europe now and photos look good. It seems to be in the US as well this time, but I will wait until I can find a full set somewhere since I can't order whole cases locally any more.

Nuremburg Toy Fair has happened, and there are various images and videos online about it. Second half year includes a Farm theme that looks to be mostly duplicates of existing animals. There is a Horse theme also, with new horses with articulated legs. The one major animal they have traditionally held back from doing that with. I don't like the sculpting on the legs for the articulated one very much. It will be interesting to see how that goes over. Many sets with new color variations. No new animal molds other than the articulated horse that I have noticed for the second half year releases. There will be surprises and unexpected color variations of course. We will know better when the official set photos eventually go online.

Thanks for reading - Tiermann
