Figures Series 29 has been uploaded to the Figures pages.

Animoblog

This is another great series. Lots of interesting figures. The usual mix of figures related to current themes along with some unique ideas and molds.

Unique in the boys we have Tengu - a Japanese demon, in this case a possible reference to a legend regarding a scholar wearing a Tengu mask. The nose of the mask is a hotdog colored to match. Clever use of an existing part in a new way. Really a wonderful cultural reference.

There is an Anatomical Model figure, another different and unique figure. No painting on the arms which would have been nice, but it's a great figure.

Animoblog  Animoblog

A prisoner with new molds for a loaf of bread and a two color file that fits in it. The handle sticks out of the bread to allow it to be held. It looks like it should fit hidden inside as well, but the file doesn't fit as smoothly as I would like.

A Virtual Reality Gamer is included in the series, with a new mold for the hand controller. There are 2 controllers with the figure plus a hand fan in clear with an image painted on it.

There is a German Journeyman Carpenter in the series. The second time for this figure. Better done this time in my opinion, and with a new two color molded hammer

Here is the previous version from series 17

There is an Alien or possibly a Super Hero Villain in an insect form with a fly print on the helmet. The reuse of the crab arm from the recent Pirate series is nice. I strongly suspect the odd crab and octopus figures from the Pirates were actually molds made for a Mermaid Everdreamerz theme that got canceled before release. Similar to the witches and wizards we keep seeing using molds and prints from the known cancelled Everdreamerz 4 series.

Speaking of wizards here is the dwarf wizard from 29, looking a lot like a reference to Wicked movies/musical. The arm molds are from the old Sycronian aliens from Super 4. Great prints on this one.

There is also an Ice Wizard with a two ended lightning piece. This one is all in clear blues which is great.

Animoblog  Animoblog

This has been done once before in series 14, that time with less clear.

On the Girls side there is an Ice Sorcerer, not as nice as the Ice Fairy from series 28 in my opinion

Animoblog

There is a Witch that matches up with the Wizard as well

In cultural figures there is a Zulu Woman which is really nicely done, and the printed head basket as a hat is a great part use.

Animoblog Animoblog

The Crash Test Dummy head has been reused as a Robot Maid. nicely done, but I would have preferred the apron not being printed on the torso. Otherwise, a great figure

There is a Demoness that reuses the skirt with tail from the cat girl previously. A really nice figure with a great torso print.

I really liked this Country Guitarist. Nicely done and all just fits right.

Another returning theme idea is Joan of Arc, nicely done here in a longer outfit than seen before

Here is the previous Figures version from Series 20

There is a very nice woman with rain gear, the printed boots and color scheme are great. People would have liked the bigger umbrella top, but I can see where it wouldn't have fitted in the bags. The rain hat like from the sailors seen previously would also have been nice. Great figure though regardless

The last one I will share here is the Cotton Candy Princess. Part of the Candlyland theme that started in Everdreamerz and has continued on since. That must have been the biggest hit for the Everdreamerz since it's continued to trail on in sets since. The use of the Micro tree in pink as cotton candy is another excellent part use.

Multiple detailed photos of all the figures in the series are up on the Figures pages now. I think there was a little more creativity in the Boys group than the Girls this time, but overall a great series. I really feel like they have been hitting the mark the last few years. We really haven't seen a weak grouping since Series 23. Series 30 has been seen at Toyfair and first photos have been popping up online. I will add a page for it when we get a really good view of them like we had for 29. The photos for second half year are showing up in the usual places like AmClicks, and the next update will be the new animals seen in what's available so far.

Thanks for reading - Tiermann
