More updates to the Animobil pages. The rest of the mermaid series instructions came out and a few new animals were found there. There have also been a few new additions to official sources showing some new animal variants.
First up sea creatures from the mermaids theme.
Set 71499 has the light blue lobster in it. The part number is 30 25 1410. With a zero on the end that's an old number, so I think this is the same light blue lobster that was previously available at the Zirndorf Funpark. The two have been combined together under the now known part number.
Newly added is the yellow stingray that has the number 30 62 3009
Also in that set the ammonite has a new number and is probably in the glossy plastic used for the blue version.
The set also contains a red crab with the number 30 03 8265
This is probably the same darker red crab found in Series 25 Boys, so for now those two have been combined together
In set 71500 two of the giant seahorses have new numbers. Pink is 30 62 0879 and green 30 62 0889
In set 71501 the white clam box has a new number 30 21 0783, the pink insert is separate
The pink seashells also have a new number and may be a group of 4 rather than 8, ETN 30 51 5633
One other sea life addition is the light orange striped butterflyfish from set 71379. That set has no instructions so the part numbers for this fish, plus the purple sea turtle unique to the set are not known. All other animals in the set match up with known items.
Moving on to other new pages added, there is a painted bull in the Swiss Wrestling Federation set 71574
The next wave of color sets have three dogs in white. The newfoundland mold in set 71514
and the great dane and dalmation in set 71517
In the Disney licensed 123 or Junior sets there is Heihei the rooster in the Moana set 71459
In the Little Mermaid set 71460 there is Flounder the fish, and a starfish
In Figures Series 26 Girls 71606 the German Shepherd puppy playing is in dark brown
Previously missed in the fairgrounds super set 71452 there is a pink teddy bear with a new number 30 05 2014
Also in teddy bears, from the Chilsung set exclusive to Korea 71312 is this green teddy bear, part number 30 02 0005
That set also includes the seated Golden Retriever mentioned in a February post here. It is 30 65 9575. All other animals were existing known variants.
A big thank you to Gaetan for getting me the two French exclusive sets from last year. The pirate set 70860 includes a new color caiman 30 66 7414, and a new color baby monkey 30 20 0554
The new one is on the right here, and in person is not quite as yellow as the original
The other set from Gaetan was 70863, a zoo set with otters and deer. The deer buck has a new number, 30 66 8234 and the antlers are a little darker tan than previous versions
That's it for items with new pages. There were a lot of new animal photos added this time. The first two are thanks to Bob , the blue and yellow wyvern and a yellow songbird from the newest Novelmore sets. Those aren't available in the US yet and may be some time before they are.
The rest I have in hand through various means.
The last Ayuma animals I didn't have. This theme seems to be discontinued, or at least no new sets are expected the rest of this year and it is gone from the catalogs.
The bat, bat ornament, and beaver all seem to be mildly glow in the dark.
From the My Life recycled content starter set 71476
From Korean exclusive set 71313
From 71469, the new shiny blue ammonite, my first half clam shells, and a light pink coral
From Bio-Farm theme
From the Horses of Waterfall starter set
From last year's Dino-Rise starter set
and finally for individuals, the giant frog from the Naruto theme
Here are a few additional images added, group shots.
That's it for this update. There are still quite a few sets coming later in the year we don't have the best photos of yet. I am waiting for good images from official sources on them. Most anticipated is the Wiltopia Australia theme. There is also a major change in the works for the 123 line. It is changing name to Juniors and is switching to plant based plastics. The new plastics mean that as the existing sets go through additional production runs some animals may be coming out in the new plastic. All new additions like the Disney sets above will be in the plastic from the start. The recycled content doesn't hold the colorants as well, or at least is more pastel due to the recycled plastics added. It will be interesting to see how the new plant based plastics hold color.
Thanks for reading - Tiermann
