Significant updates to the Shield and Heraldry pages have happened this week. The newest expected shields have been added, as have some great new additions thanks to Bob.

First up here are the new shields expected through the end of the year.

Most of them come from the Novelmore theme. The image sizes are not to scale to each other, they are taken from box back images that vary in scale. There are four new small pointed shields, one kite shield used as a target, and a dragon wing that is attached to a war machine.

Also in new shields is this riot shield from the newest police theme.

The last is a round shield in DinoRise. Note that the previous suspected Dino Rise round shield turned out to be a sign with a clip, but this looks like a proper hand held one.

In addition to these place holders that have been added there are some new variations, a new XXL shield, many unprinted variants, and a new shield from Spain. All of these being thanks to Bob yet again.

The Spanish shield seems to be eaasily available but the set it comes from has not yet been identified. The age of the style implies it may well be a Famobil specific shield.

As you can see it's an Indian buffalo shield with different colors for the sunburst. It's a great looking shield and has been added for now as Famobil A in the Round shields section.

The new XXL shield added is the kite shield with the red wolf pattern. This pattern was in release in 2006. It came with an XXL sized store display figure.

The last new addition is this pointed heater in yellow

June 19 2023

It came form the Zirndorf Funpark as a giveaway, in bagged set numbered 30 79 4623. The mini catalog in the bag is dated 2015.

Three new sticker print variations were added this update.

This kite shield is a variant of the same design with a different lighter yellow

June 19 2023

The sticker it came from would have been 30 89 7170.

There are two sticker variants for the old round Indian style shields from set 3569 that have been seen from Spain. The first is the blue horse sticker but on a white rather than brown shield.

June 19 2023

The second is the bull design also on a white rather than brown shield

June 19 2023

This bull design is all yellow though, and the more common version has a red background.

Note that sticker color variations can be found on the shield type category page, but are not shown on the main By Shape or Type page. That larger page is limited to one example of each known type. It also does not include unprinted variants unless they have been released with a known part number or in a released set. Those unprinted variants are found only in the shield shape/type page for that specific shape.

Here are the unpainted variants added this update. On the individual pages you will see a note that they are not known to have been released in a set. These are likely factory escapees that were never printed.

There are three updated images as well, these being better examples than previously added to the site

And that, finally, is all that was in this Shield update. As always there will be future shield additions, but likely not until the next Novelmore wave comes out. In the mean time the rest of the Wiltopia Amazon animals, and the first wave of the Bio-Farm animals will be going on the site in a week or two.

Thanks for reading - Tiermann
