Wiltopia

Wiltopia is a special branding used for nature themed sets that feature the use of recycled plastics as part of the production process. The plastics used are recovered from recycled appliances such as refrigerators. The result are items with a different coloration and feel compared to single use forms previously seen. Hard plastics are often more pastel in color tone, while softer plastics seem to have less surface gloss and a different texture. The first Wiltopia release wave consists of 27 animals using previously made molds. The second wave included more individual animals. Subsequent series have been biome themed including Amazon Forest, North America, Africa, and Australia. Many of these include new molds and unique animals. In 2024 there was a Wiltopia themed release of McDonalds Happy Meals produced in association with Playmobil but at other factories than usual. Blue Ocean publishers produce a Wiltopia themed magazine similar to the usual Playmobil magazines in release in Europe.
