Today's update features items just received in a shipment from Germany thanks to the help of my friend Daniela.

The most interesting part of the package consisted of items collected for me from the Zirndorf Funpark by Queen Tahra of Playkingdoms.

In the Funpark shop Tahra found large bins of 1-2-3 series animals on sale. I suspect these are a clear out of leftover items from the switch to the new plastics being used for the Juniors line. Among the animals in the bins were 4 new 1-2-3 fish that have never been seen in sets.

For some years now in the Funpark there have been large clamshells with water flowing through them that bubbles up small parts. Past assortments from the shells have been on the Animobil Funpark Animals page since 2005. In the Funpark shop they sell bagged sets of these parts. Tahra bought two different bags from the shop but both include older assortments of parts I have already seen. The parts in the clamshells out in the park, however, were a new assortment. I don't know if this assortment is entirely new for 2024 or may have been there in 2023. I am placing the many unique animal colors under 2024 for now.

Here is the assortment collected with the help of Tahra's friend Arthur, thanks very much to both of them.

The three clamshells are repeats of existing items. The three toy fish are new color variants. The two butterfly clips are new colors. The four seahorses are new colors. Three of the starfish are new colors. The blue starfish is the same as the light blue one in the current mermaids series 30 02 5714. All four seal toys are new color variants as well.

Here are the individual photos of all the new colors. Note the light green of the seahorse and starfish is so light it looks almost white in some photos.

Correct:

The reverse molded head sent out in many sets:

July 29 2024

A purple owl; a different purple than the previous version. This number I got off PlaymoDB and I think it must be from the only recent set to use the purple owl, set 70865 - a European excusive set from 2021. The part number is 30 66 7824

July 29 2024

Here it is with the other owls and you can see it's a lighter purple color than the earlier one from the Fairies series

July 29 2024

Off of German eBay I finally got the pink giant seahorse from set 5028, 30 63 0444

July 29 2024

Here it is compared to the other pink giant seahorses. The best way to tell it apart is the thin amount of white painted in the eye. I think the plastic color is actually the same on this one.

July 29 2024

Also from this shipment were three issues of Playmobil Magazines with unique animals.

Baby Tyrannosaurus rex 7 from Playmobil magazine issue Nr. 9 , Playmobil shop number 80865

July 29 2024

July 29 2024

it is the darkest green of the baby rexes so far

July 29 2024

Here are their backs

July 29 2024

From Wiltopia Magazine issue #6, Playmobil shop number 80754, the black panther

July 29 2024

It is of course in the recycled content plastic and not quite black

In this group image it is on the right

July 29 2024

And from Playmobil Pink magazine issue Nr. 10, shop number 80939, this white sporthorse

July 29 2024

July 29 2024

Note that while the original promo art for the magazine just shows the horse, the actual packaging includes the Horses of Waterfall logo. The white is in fact the not as white recycled content type plastic and the mane and tail are actually a slightly darker grey than the previous regular version.

There were three other additions this update as well.

Missed previously, the star in the Junior Advent Calendar is actually the new Starfish mold in yellow

July 29 2024

There is a Playmobil Girls Magazine shop number 80954 with a gold mermaid in it that includes the white baby seal with no eye painting.

July 29 2024

And many part numbers of the new Australian Wiltopia series are now available. Thanks to Gaetan for sending these to me. Included among them is that the frilled lizards are in fact two different ones with different body part numbers, so the second one has been added. The frill is a separate piece and is the same for both.

July 29 2024

That is it for this update. The next update will include the new Anniversary Knight finally, updating the Caparison pictures on the Shields pages. It will also include a number of minor additions thanks to Gaetan tracking down the differences between part numbers as well as a couple of pick ups of old variations previously missed. Look for those updates in early August. Have a happy and safe summer everyone.

Thanks for reading - Tiermann
