I thought the last update would be the final big update for the year, but I was wrong. The online catalogs for the first half of 2023 have been released at Playmobil.de and some export markets. This includes both the first half regular catalog and the Direct Service catalog, both good through July. There are no new animals in the Direct Service catalog at all. The first half regular catalog though has a new farm series, continuation of Dino Rise and assorted other sets.

First up are two more sets for Wiltopia Amazon

A large set 71142 with a sloth as well as some monkeys

A smaller set 71143 with the pink Amazon river dolphin and a baby, as well as new tortoise colors

The sloth and adult dolphin are new molds, the rest recolors. These two sets are listed for a January release.

Next up is the new Farm series, this time showing the recycled content information making it the second new recycled content line along with Wiltopia. In German it is Bio-Baurenhof and I will probably call it Bio-Farm on Animobil to differentiate it from other farm themes. As of writing the USA catalog isn't out yet, but the UK one is and it doen't have the Bio-Farm name there just the recycled content info.

The first farm series is set for February release.

71251 Alpaca Hike

This includes a totally new color adult and a white adult that probably? matches the off white Wiltopia one. It also has a white baby that will be a new color variant. Four songbirds are probable color variants as well with the new plastic type.

71252 Rabbit Hutch

All repeats, but likely with slight color variations due to the new plastics

71248 Farm House

This is the largest of the first release sets and includes the cow and calf with fuzzy flocked spots on the sides previously seen in an Advent calendar. No doubt in the new not quite white color.

Other returning animals with likely color variants

Here there is a catalog divergence between the German and UK catalogs. Only the German one so far lists a second farm wave for July 2023.

Included in that is a large farm set 71304

The piglet with painted on mud spots is the most interesting in the large set.

The next is 71307 an animal assortment that includes a new mold - potbellied pig

Also in this set are interesting variants of sheep and goats plus Swiss cows

A really nice assortment that should sell well for them.

71308 is the chicken coop, no doubt with color variants due to the plastics used

The last for the second series with animals in it is 71309 Cats

The walking cat is white is a totally new color combo.

There is a big new horse farm theme released in January as well. Almost all of the animals are re-releases and there is no branding that it is the recycled content plastic so I will wait for the instructions with part numbers before adding them. The one set with obvious new variants is a pinto and colt set 71243

Clearly a lighter color of spots there and nice light brown manes and tails. The horse theme includes the return of the Fjord horse only seen once before, which is nice to see.

In March there will be a new Princess themed Magic type set 71246 that includes a new color Pegasus and a goat kid in yellow, other animals are repeats

A new gift set series in January includes one new animal. From set 71188 Botanist a buck with painted eyes

Ayuma March release gets three new sets with animal variants

71215 Mystical Leaf Trap has a flying lizard in light blue

71235 Abjatus and Knight Fairy Hildi has a red panda in yellow, with Adjatus being the first centaur from the company

71236 Crystal and Moon Fairy has a blue husky and another pink rabbit

Novelmore also coming in March brings two new variants

71210 Battle Arena has a type 2 small wyvern in it

71213 has the firehorse with new paint variations

In May there are "New Opponents for Team Dino Rise" with a more jungle looking setting. New recolors of existing molds, inluding the dimorphodon.

This wave continues the mech like accessories but pares way back on the scenery and other compnents. Still probably going to be higher priced than we might like to get the dinos, but better than having desirable dinos surrounded by expensive scenery components like the stegosaurus in the first wave and the dimorphodon in the second.

There is an additional dino in the dual packs this time

It doesn't appear to be branded as Dino Rise but themes with it.

In the Starter Packs line the pirate set 71254 has a yellow scorpion in it

There are other sets with aniamls in them, but all appear repeats and I am not including them right now. When part numbers come out for them I will add any unnoticed new variants then.

That's it for the catalogs. The only other new addition is from the magazines, with Girls 80848 from 9/2022 including a new unicorn variant

Based on the other export market catalogs seen so far I expect the US one to be about the same, with the second farm theme probably delayed until the next catalog August or after. It's possible there could be some unique sets again, but based on last year I think it unlikely. We should see the first week of January at the latest I would think.
