Another update. New information keeps arriving, plus some new animals in hand for photos.

First one shield update, I forgot to add the 71087 Asterix Advent Calendar shield.

It is now on the Shields site

The Asterix sets have instructions online now and the animals have been updated where necessary. There was one additional new one found there. The tan cow has a new number and at least in the instructions it has lighter colored horns than the last version. ETN 30 65 3005

Also recently noticed is the old style large rabbit sitting up in grey, now with painted eyes. It is in one of the Dollhouse sets perhaps, and in the Christmas themed Advent Calendar 71088

Other new animals were found as I opened some recently acquired sets.

From the Ayuma Starter Set 70905 both the raccoon and songbird are new darker colors than previously seen

In the Unicorn and Pegasus set 71002 there is a pink butterfly clip not previously noticed 30 05 5394

Also in that set, previously added to Animobil are the Unicorn 30 65 0925 with gold horn 30 25 9102

and Pink Pegasus 30 65 0935 with pink wings 30 51 3513

With the four new animals listed above the total for the year has gone all the way to 108 so far. There are certainly more coming as well with Wiltopia perhaps having several more that are unique in color due to the use of the recycled plastic. There may be others missed in future sets as well like that butterfly clip was. Here is the current chart showing how many new animals have been released each year since Playmobil started as a toy line. 2022 is the biggest year ever.

The last decade has seen the top 4 years ever. 2012 is a pivot year with half of all animals appearing before that point and the rest since then. It has very much felt like running to keep up with the releases the last 11 years.
