The second half year catalog is available digitally at Playmobil.fr now, so here is the post with the next large batch of animals for the year.

Themes adding animals are 123 Aqua, Novelmore, Ayuma, and Wiltopia Amazon

First up is 123 with two new molds

Pufferfish in three colors over two sets

and what they call a baby shark in two colors in two sets

The rest are recolors, with many being in a 123 Aqua Advent Calendar

For Novelmore they are doing the Salahari Sands location this wave.

It brings one new animal, a giant scorpion

and a painted camel

There are also two shields in that theme, a new melty goo in the child's heater

and a color vatiation on the same heraldry round shield, with darker red

Ayuma has a few new sets. It's really hard to tell about the birds in the largest set so I am holding off until there are real life photos to see if the colors are new or just photoshop artifacts.

There are plenty of new variations in the other sets including an Advent Calendar with many new colors

All of the Ayuma animals are recolors of existing molds.

The big theme for new molds is Wiltopia Amazon

All of those are brand new molds

There are also new recolors

The lion cub as an ocelot, with kittens

A new coloration on the jaguar

New color of caiman

Bird recolors including teh second ever toucan

There will also be a wiltopia Advent Calendar filled up with animals. Some are clearly new variations due to paint.

The big question we are starting to get an answer to is if all Wiltopia animals are new variants due to the plastic used. From publicity currently available they are using a white plastic pellet that is derived from recycled refrigerators as part of the mix. This may cause many of the colors to be more pastel than usual and may also alter the plastic texture. In addition to the known paint variants we now know the moose is definitely a more pastel smooth color than previous. I will end up getting all of these and will do item to item comparisons to find out. The packaging does say color may vary, so who knows how consistant they will be over time.

in general a really exciting second half year this year. 12 brand new molds for 7 species and lots of interesting color variations most of which are available in easy to get Advent Calendars.

Animals are all updated to Animobil now, shields will be coming onto the site next week.
