June 23, 2022

Just posted yesterday and boom the first wave of Wiltopia has been posted to the Playmobil websites.

This is a new animal theme that is marketed as "more than 80% on average" "sustainable materials"

No idea what that actually means or if the plastic on all will be different.

There are 27 packages in this release. All have an animal and a few small accessories. Prices vary depending on the size of the animal.

Definite new variations are:

June 23 2022

Spotted fawn in brown rather than tan

June 23 2022

Older style sea turtle with painted shell this time

June 23 2022

Tiger kitten in regular orange with the newer face striping

June 23 2022

Dolphin with a painted eye

Possible ones:

June 23 2022

Alpaca young in tan, does seem to be tan rather than white?

June 23 2022

Ibex in darker brown?

June 23 2022

Moose in lighter brown?

June 23 2022

Female orangutan in a lighter red brown?

June 23 2022

Baby African elephant in a lighter grey

June 23 2022

Eagle spread wings type 1 with beak and feet in darker yellow?

June 23 2022

Squirrels in lighter orange? The last tan squirrels from Ayuma that had new part numbers were actually the same as the previous tan. These are the least likely of those pictured here.

The other animals that are probably colors seen before are:

Polar Bear

Polar Bear Cub

Panda

Panda Cub

Grey Wolf open mouth black eyes (same as in the Western Indian kids set?)

Emperor Penguin adult

Young Orangutan

Young Seal

Young Dolphin

White Alpaca

Red Panda

Seated Young Raccoon

Tiger

Lion Male

Giraffe

Meerkats Pair

So probably 4 new variations for sure with up to 10. And a possibility that with the plastic being different all 27 may end up being new variants. We will find out once we start getting them in hand.

There will be a wave 2 of Wiltopia likely later in the year with exciting new species, and an advent calendar that may have 1 or 2 more new variations of older molds.

Hopefully there will be a properly updated second half catalog coming soon. Updates seen so far are minimal and don't show the upcoming sets.

Thanks for reading - Tiermann
