A few new additions to Animobil today.

The instruction sheets for the special edition Mermaid Nursery 70886 and Farm 70887 are now available.

The farm has all repeat animals with no new part numbers.

The mermaids had a few surprises. In addition to the known new color variants of the dolphin and young there was a new part number for the green stingray 30 64 0767. It looks the same in images so it is on the same page as the existing one for the moment, until I get the set in hand in a few weeks and can compare.

There is a new part number for the small magenta seahorse 30 04 1804

It may be a duplicate of a previous one, but again we will see. it has a new number and looks likely different though so has it's own new page.

Also new in that set is a dark red starfish 30 04 1794

The other new addition this month is a purple cockatoo from the new Ayuma Magazine in Germany

With the addition of the Mermaid's animals the total number of variations from 2021 is 105. That is a new all time record for variant and animal releases in a single year. For 2022 so far we are up to 33 with more to come.

If you have been watching the second half year release thread at AmClicks you may have already seen the recent leaked photos of the new worldwide animal theme. They are tropical based and look mostly South American. Included for new animal species seen in this as yet unconfirmed batch of not very good photos are manatees, giant anteater, and tapir (Probably Beard's Tapir from the look of it). There are monkeys that may also be new releases - possibly howler monkeys. Also a new variant of Jaguar? Many of the images are not good at all, so we will have to wait to see what is there later in the year. It is exciting to see new species though. I first suggested anteaters to the Playmobil management at a meeting in 2011. Eleven year's later, here they finally are. I am very happy and hopeful they will arrive in the US in time for the Holiday season in December.
