The online German catalog is out now, as is a new online German 123 catalog. There are also some other random bits of new information out there.

First up let's take a look at new animals in the 2020 Zoo theme.

There are two totally new species this time out, a few recolors, and lots of re-releases.

The new ones are the red panda in set 70344 (two poses? One pose from two angles??)

and the Ring-tailed Lemurs in set 70355

All beautifully done.

For zoo recolors there is a male lion with a new mane color in 70343

A griaffe and baby giraffe with a different yellow base color in 70341

Crocodile and baby in 70358

The baby monkey in brown from set 70346

and from set 70342 Petting Zoo two new combos of tortoise and baby shell/body and perhaps a baby goat with darker paint than the previous release.

Moving on from the zoo, there is a new Princess Palace theme that has a draft horse in a different color plus what looks like the painted on saddle blanket. It is from 70449

There are also a bunch of new animals in the 123 range.

In totally new molds we have this duck boat and ducklings from 70271

From a related set 70267 are these two fish, a crocodile float, and a brand new octopus

Those two sets are from a sub-theme called Aqua for water play. There is also a new 123 sub-theme for Fairies with more colors of unicorns (of course) as well as recolors of the fox, owl, deer fawn, bird and squirrel. The colors are unrealistic (except the owl) as expected from Fairy themes these days

Set numbers are 70400 to 70403

Also new in smaller 123 sets is this new color of the pony from 70410

That's it for new animals this time. There is always the possibility of more as the instructions come out and we find new part numbers. Updates will be seen here as always.

One final bit of animal news is that the purple calf has found a set number 70263 - one of 4 new Milka Specials. The flamingos all have known part numbers now as well - peach is 30 66 0713 and white is 30 66 0723

Moving on to Shields there are a few new entries.

A new starter set of a knight with a quintain 70290 already has the part numbers available. The blue eagle axehead style shield is 30 63 9626 and the silver beaten up heater is 30 63 4586

Set 70302 is a gladiator set with the two part shield in a new color combo. It uses the silver outer part 30 25 6513 and the silver inner part 30 07 6510

In the new Space Police theme there is a clear riot shield in set 70022
