Shields Update

The new shields from the Dwarf theme coming up this winter have been added.

Also added today was the photo for the Pirate Ship’s Wheel shield.

Also new this update, a Skull and Crossbones heraldry category, just the one entry so far. I also added a new Heraldry entry for Flame for shields showing fire.

That’s it for this little update. Thanks for reading – Tiermann

August Update

The new Horse Farm theme and Dragons licensed theme are both out this month.

From the horses there turns out to be two other new variations previously missed. Both from the biggest set the 6926 Horse Farm. The brown horse has a white blaze on the forehead, as does the colt. The horse is 30 67 0603 and the colt 30 67 0613

Here are photos of the three larger dragons from the Dragons theme.

Other new editions this time – the 123 bird from the Advent Calendar turns out to be dark blue and not black as previously listed.

The seashell hair ornament from the Girls Figures Series 5 in 2013 has now been added.

The Clamshell Box has turned up in Glow in the Dark white. Hopefully this is part of the current assortment at the Funpark? From a set? Thanks to Buecherwurm7 for this info.

Also noticed by Buecherwurm7 is paint variation on the tiger cubs. The first type tiger cub has two different paint styles. Shown as 1 here is what I believe to be the older style based on catalog photos. The newer style (2) is also used on the white tiger cub and the more recent style 2 tiger cub.

Questions about color versus plain white on the first style horse have come up recently so I have added more photos. The best way to quickly tell the color horse apart is by holding it up to the light. If the light shines through the mane then it is in the color plastic, if it doesn’t it is a regular white horse.

In the example here the color horse is the oldest style horse with the letter B on the rear and the larger date and no hole underneath. That is the case on all my color horses but may not be the case on all horses that came in color sets.

2017-2018 Catalog Out in Germany

The new catalog is out in Germany including releases through January. It is available on the Playmobil.de site, as are the larger photos of the sets in the regular shopping categories.

I have only found three new animals this time. If you notice anything I may have missed please let me know.

In the new Dwarf theme there are two color versions of a new draft pony

In the Fairy Play Mat set there is a frog that looks to be a darker blue than previously seen.

That’s it for new animals, but the Dwarf theme has a bunch of new shields in it.

None of this is up on Animobil yet, I wanted to get the news out first and will add these plus any new part numbers that come from the newly released horse theme as soon as I can.

July Update

Thanks to Buecherwurm7 for her help in getting a few new variations for the site.

First up is the first style white and tan spotted pony. There are four very similar ones it turns out. The two main types as seen for a long time on Animobil, and two variations.

The earlier of each type has a broad paint spot on the neck. The second type of each has the peanut shaped spot on the neck.

Here is the new addition to the site – the darker version with the peanut neck spot.

The oldest style one horse with the pinto spots came in two main color variations for the spots, a lighter tan and a darker brown. The tan one has been on the site for years, I’ve now added the brown variation as well.

There is a mold variation on the brown puppy. There are many of them out there with the more steeply curved tail. This shows up otherwise only in the tan spotted puppy so far.

Shark 3 now has better photos. This version is hard plastic with a straight top fin, darker grey above and lighter grey underneath, square jaw hinge and a hole for scenery.

That’s it for additions this month. The new horse farm theme and the How To Train Your Dragon theme will both be out in Germany in the next week or so. New part numbers probably in the next update.

Shields Update

A couple of new additions to the shields section.

Thanks to Don a previously missed shield has been added. It is the two part round shield with the outer frame in old gold. It was in only one set, the Dragon Temple.

Also thanks to Don for pointing this out, the most recent batch of figures form the deAgostini books line includes women for the first time. One of these is Athena with a two part shield with the outer section molded in blue.

Here she is with the shield

Much more of a classic Playmobil look than the Play and Give Greek Athena from the last year. Both are great figures though and worth picking up.

That’s it for this update. Thanks for reading – Tiermann

Animobil Update and New Shells

This week the main update is the addition of the set numbers for most of the new add-ons. In doing that there is one new part number, for the deer doe in the 6532 Forest Animals set. It may have painted eyes? The image on the website doesn’t show any significant differences so we will have to wait for a report from someone who has the set. For now the number has been added to the main entry for the brown doe. It is 30 67 2453

In actual news this week, Jennifer has reported two new clam shell box colors available from the Funpark at Zirndorf Germany. They are bright green and a speckled pink color.

Other than that it was mainly new group photos added this week. Here they are:

Figures Series 11 Updated

Fi?ures Series 11 has been uploaded to the site now. This is a great group of figures. There are a few minor quibbles – that pink wand for the sexy witch in the Girls series is an odd color choice – would have been better in silver or gold. The scepter/wand of the pink snow princess is a fantastic sparkle clear though, so that balances out I guess.

A super strong series, unfortunately Series 12 that will be out later this year is very weak with many exact duplicates of previous figures – and not the most popular ones even.

Lots of individual photos of Series 11 at the Figures Site

Next site update will be the 2017 add-on sets linked and some new group photos.
