Shields Update

A couple of new additions to the shields section.

Thanks to Don a previously missed shield has been added. It is the two part round shield with the outer frame in old gold. It was in only one set, the Dragon Temple.

Also thanks to Don for pointing this out, the most recent batch of figures form the deAgostini books line includes women for the first time. One of these is Athena with a two part shield with the outer section molded in blue.

Here she is with the shield

Much more of a classic Playmobil look than the Play and Give Greek Athena from the last year. Both are great figures though and worth picking up.

That’s it for this update. Thanks for reading – Tiermann

Animobil Update and New Shells

This week the main update is the addition of the set numbers for most of the new add-ons. In doing that there is one new part number, for the deer doe in the 6532 Forest Animals set. It may have painted eyes? The image on the website doesn’t show any significant differences so we will have to wait for a report from someone who has the set. For now the number has been added to the main entry for the brown doe. It is 30 67 2453

In actual news this week, Jennifer has reported two new clam shell box colors available from the Funpark at Zirndorf Germany. They are bright green and a speckled pink color.

Other than that it was mainly new group photos added this week. Here they are:

Figures Series 11 Updated

Fi?ures Series 11 has been uploaded to the site now. This is a great group of figures. There are a few minor quibbles – that pink wand for the sexy witch in the Girls series is an odd color choice – would have been better in silver or gold. The scepter/wand of the pink snow princess is a fantastic sparkle clear though, so that balances out I guess.

A super strong series, unfortunately Series 12 that will be out later this year is very weak with many exact duplicates of previous figures – and not the most popular ones even.

Lots of individual photos of Series 11 at the Figures Site

Next site update will be the 2017 add-on sets linked and some new group photos.

Playmobil Add-Ons 2017

The new add-ons for 2017 have been released in Germany. There are many reissued animals available this year, but only two new color variations. Both of them are in the same set 6534 Ponies. There is a new pony colt in white, this time with a brown instead of grey mane. The other is a tan pony style 3 with a tan mane – previously seen in the Circus Roncalli set with a painted on blanket. This time it is just plain.

That’s it for new this time around. It will be nice to have some of the animals like the pheasant and the fallow deer available in an add-on since they never made it to the USA in a regular set. Most of the rest are pretty familiar. If anyone notices anything different please let me know.

Shields Update

Updated the Shields pages today with some new shields and a couple of photos.

In the Viking Easter Egg from this year set 9209 the shield has a new light grey main part,  with a reused insert.

Main shield part is 30 04 8872 and the insert is the old 30 04 8060

Also added new this time are the pirate ship’s wheel shield form the Playmo-Friends series and the one new shield in the upcoming Fi?ures 12 series

Also new in this update are the photos fro the most recent shield from the Playmobil Magazine – copper with the red and yellow black dragon, and the two from the Fi?ures Series 11

Nothing else expected in shields for this year, though you never know with the magazines or the late year releases. That’s it for this update – coming soon the full Figures update for series 11 and the new animals in Add-ons. Thanks for reading – Tiermann

Animobil Update May

Some new Playmobil animal news, some new variations news, and many new images this update.

In new animals there is a Playmobil Pink Magazine issue 3/2017 with 5 new variations in it.

The rabbits are a very light pink and the foxes a lighter than usual orange. The unicorn is also a new color and paint variation.

In the Easter Egg with the pony foals 9207 not only is the white foal new but the tan one is as well. The brown matches up with the previous brown. The tan is a lighter and smoother plastic than the previously seen tan pony foal. The pony foals all have part numbers, brown 30 66 7063  tan 30 66 7053  white 30 66 7333

In the Aquarium shop set 9061 the pink shells have a new number and it turns out they are in fact different from the previous pink shell set. The new ones are not iridescent the way the first version was. It’s difficult to see in photos but is more evident in person.

From Jonas at Leszoosdanslemonde.com I have learned of mold variations for the 123 deer doe and fawn. No part number differences are known. The main difference is the ears. The more rounded ears seem to be newer.

Also from Jonas a paint color variation on the eye of the green 123 fish

Buecherwurm7 has found two variations. The first is an older style large rabbit laying in hard plastic. It has a hole in the bottom but the mold is otherwise the same as the regular version.

The other is the playing German Shepherd puppy unpainted. This came directly from the Parts Department in Germany as a replacement.

Thanks to Daniela my most recent shipment of sets and items arrived so here are lots of new images of mostly this year’s releases.

From the Arctic theme

From the Aquarium theme

from the Fairy theme

from the second series of the Super 4 theme

and a bunch of other new images from various themes

That’s it finally for this update. Upcoming news will be the release of the new Add-ons catalog for Germany soon. It’s available online for PCC members now. Next update will probably be a small one for the Shields site.
